At Marine Motion Outboards, we stand by the quality of our engines. We aim to make every purchase a confident one. If something isn’t right, we are here to help.
1. 45-Day Return Window
You may request a return within 45 days of the delivery date. This policy applies to both new and used outboards, provided the item remains in the condition in which it was received.
2. Inspection & "Test" Policy
We understand you need to verify the motor's condition. You are permitted to perform bench testing or light inspection to ensure the motor runs as expected.
3. Return Eligibility
To qualify for a refund (minus fees), the item must be:
- Returned in its original packaging (crated/boxed).
- Complete with all manuals, accessories, and parts.
- Free of user-inflicted damage or improper installation marks.
Non-Returnable Items: Custom special orders, items missing original parts, or motors damaged due to improper fuel/oil mixtures.
4. How to Start a Return
Step 1: Authorization
Email co*****@******************rd.com or call +1 (225) 470-4200. Include your Order Number and the reason for the return.
Step 2: Pack Carefully
Secure the motor in its original crate or box. Clearly mark your Return Authorization Number on the outside of the package.
Step 3: Ship It
Ship the item using a trackable and insured freight method. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.
5. Refunds & Restocking Fees
Once we receive your return, our team will inspect the motor to ensure it meets our eligibility criteria.
- Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns. This fee covers the costs of inspection, recrating, and administrative processing.
- Processing Time: Please allow up to 10 business days after inspection for your refund to be processed.
- Original Shipping: Outbound shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Partial Refunds: If the motor is returned with moderate wear, missing parts, or without original packaging, an additional deduction may be applied to cover the loss in value.
6. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or fails to operate upon arrival, the restocking fee is waived.
- Notification: You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Proof: Please email photos of the damage and a brief description of the issue.
- Resolution: If approved, we will arrange a free replacement or a full refund, including shipping costs.
